how to trap coyote frozen groundAre you having trouble catching and trapping coyotes in snow and frozen ground? This week on Trapping TV Mike Kimble and Scott Adams cover this topic. They show you how they freeze proof their coyote traps. You will see first hand how they make flat sets for coyotes in frozen ground.

We also have an interview with Tim Woods about coyote, raccoon and nest predator  for deer and turkey management. Tim Woods is a national know deer hunter. You might have seen him taking some big deer on TV. Know he has a deer hunting camp guiding hunters for their dream deer in Ohio.

  1. Coon Crush

I must be getting old. Lord knows it takes a while for things to sink in. I recently posted on Tman that I thought coon might spend more time working a DP that had “bits” of food rather than chunks. It got shot down pretty fast.

Anyway, I’ve noticed your Coon Crush is small bits and powder. I know Mark June’s DP bait is also made up of small bits and kernels of corn. This reinforces for me the fact that small things can’t just be pulled out easily. Critters have to work to get them out.

See, you can teach an old dog new tricks. But it takes longer!
